• Question: Why don't we send people around space to look for monsters, like they do on Star Trek?

      Hi hanzhodges,

      Unfortunately, we don’t have good enough technology to travel the huge distances in space. For example, it’s taken the Voyager I spacecraft about 35 years just to reach the edge of our solar system, let alone leave the solar system or even the galaxy for that matter! I guess the main thing we are lacking from Star Trek is the ability to travel at ‘warp speed’, which they use in the films to travel huge distances in very short amounts of time!
