Some of my favourite things in science have been to do with teaching people about what I have discovered. A few years ago I taught a group of students all about the mouse surveys I was carrying out. It was great because I took them to see the transact and we found some baby mice there! It felt really good because at the end they all said they had a really good time and they wanted to do science when they were older. I am a scientist because I was inspired by teachers and scientists when I was younger. If I was an amazing scientist in my career but never inspired anyone I would be sad so that’s why this is my best thing.

      Hi Ruby,

One of my favourite things I’ve had the chance to do yet would probably be when I found a hidden monster black hole, lurking in a nearby galaxy, close to the Milky Way! Other than this, I love to give planetarium shows to the public, as I love to get the chance to share my work with others!

      Peter
