Question: in your profile it says you are going to host a science day with the money that you could potentiality win, but why that, would you not want to raise the money towards new equipment to look more into black holes?

  Hi Lucy,
  
  Firstly, I’d love to host a science day because I feel this is the best way to show the public examples of what we do, and why the study of astronomy in particular is useful and interesting!
  Secondly, although improved equipment to study black holes would be great, unfortunately the sorts of instruments I use to detect the X-ray emission these black holes emit cost many millions of pounds to develop, as they are based in space!
