• Question: how strong is the gravitational pull that comes out from a black hole?

      Hi Emily,

      The gravitational force is proportional to the mass, so depending on how heavy the black hole is the gravity will be much stronger. For particular black holes like those at the centre of galaxies, these can be billions of times the mass of the Sun, and so the gravitational force can be huge!
