I’m not sure how long exactly it took to invent the light bulb, but I believe the first light bulbs were recorded as far back as the 1800s!

It took about 80 years to invent the light bulb. In 1800. an italian inventor Alessandro Volta came up with a device that had a glowing wire in it whilst he was trying to invent a try of early battery. His invention was considered the first light bulb invention. In 1802 and english inventor, Humphrey Davies , invented the first electric lanm. It wasnt till 1879 that Thomas Eddison then made the light bulb as we know it. He is credited with being the inventor the the light but the other scientist were pretty much there long before him!.
