      Hi DiTGM,

Very good question! There have been many inventions that were developed to help with astronomy, that have turned out to be very useful in everyday life. For example, similar detectors that phone cameras use were first made for imaging light in astronomy. Also, the nappy was first developed by NASA to help astronauts travelling to space!

      This is a good question.
My biggest concern is that we would run out of food of bees go extinct. This is because bees are responsible for pollinating about 70% of our food crops. When a plant is pollinated by a bee it is then able to grow fruits or vegetables and produce seeds so that we can grow more plants. If there are no bees than the plants wont be pollinated and we will run out of fruits, vegetables and eventually plants! There are already lots of people in the world how don’t have enough to eat. Even in the UK where there is lots of food you see how bad it would be if you imagine all of the fruits and vegetable disappearing from the supermarkets.
It is also likely that some of the food weds will collapse and we could lose predators too. Bees are food for birds and birds are food for bigger predators.
Its not a happy looking future so we need to make sure it doesn’t happen. My research is helping to stop bees go extinct and hopefully save everyone!
