      Hi there,

      An electron spins around the nucleus of an atom. It has a negative charge and can be removed or added to a molecule to change the charge.
      Often they are pulled from areas of high charge to an area of low charge.
      OILRIG – oxidation is loss of an electron. Reduction is gain.
