      Hi Angie,

      THAT is a brilliant question, mainly because no-one really knows the *exact* answer. Ice is slippery because a thin layer of water can form on the solid surface, which can move easier than a solid, explaining the slipperiness. However, why that thin layer of water forms is still not completely understood.
