      Hi Woody,

      Great question! The tallest volcano on Earth is called Mauna Kea in Hawaii, at about 4km high above sea level. The reason this is called the tallest, is because the volcano actually extends very far below the water!

      Interestingly, the tallest volcano in the Solar System is Olympus Mons, on Mars, which is a whopping 27km tall!!
