• Question: What do you think would happen if a black hole was opened?

      Hi Ellie,

      This depends on what you mean by opened? Black holes are believed to be formed when something is so heavy that it collapses in on itself, so I guess if black hole were opened, you might expect to find some form of all the stuff that collapsed in on itself.

      However, this is very difficult to answer, as not even light can escape black holes – this means we can’t ‘see’ what’s inside unfortunately!
