Question: it is obvious that the humans are killing the planet how much longer do you think the planet can take?

You are right! We are killing the planet. The thing is, we are mainly killing ourselves and the animals and plants we share the planet with. If we keep polluting and destroying the planet we could destroy all the plant we depend on for food, and the animals. Eventually we will destroy the human race. The planet as we know it will be change, but they earth will keep on spinning and even if it is a wasteland new life will grow and a whole new era could begin.
If we carry on as we are and don’t do anything then this could happen relatively soon, maybe in less than 1000 years. But if we work towards living more sustainable, environmentally friendly lives and care of the animals and plants then we could live on the earth for millions more years.
When someone says that we have to care for the environment, what they really mean is we have to care for ourselves. Life on earth will happen again with out us.
