I think a euglena shares properties of both plants and animals. For example, the cell produces it’s own sugars, like a plant, but feeds like an animal.
For this reason, I’d say I’m not sure, which makes this question even more interesting to me!
Thats a good question. From what I remeber, a euglena cell is a a bit of both. It has chloroplasts which means it can feed though phtosysnthesis like plants, but it also has the ability to feed like an animal cell. Its a very interesting organism that is often used by scientists in experiments.
