• Question: Have you ever thought you invented a theory or new compound?

      Hi Rebecca,

      Interesting question. Funnily enough, I regularly find myself finding something out in data, and then realising that the pattern I find can be explained by an already published scientific effect.

      Yes, sometimes i get really excited when i think i have found a new thing. This year has been really good because i collected some data this summer that no one else has ever recorded before, and i found an effect with one of my extinction models that is totally new. I am working on publishing it at the moment.
